When many legendary athletes retire, they often disappear from the spotlight. Tom Brady, however, continues to dominate the news cycle. Following his second retirement and a vague remark about attending his children’s games, some fans speculated that he might be contemplating a return.
His divorce from supermodel Gisele Bündchen was barely finalized before she began dating someone new and gave an interview about their marriage, prompting Brady to address “false friends” on Twitter.
In recent news from USA TODAY Sports, Mark Davis, owner of both the 2022 WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces and the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, revealed that Brady has acquired a stake in the WNBA team.
The acquisition awaits WNBA approval. “I have exciting news to share today. I’m thrilled to announce that I’m joining the Las Vegas Aces organization,” Brady said in a Twitter video. “It’s an honor, and I’m eager to see these incredibly talented players bring another championship to Las Vegas.”
Brady expressed that returning to the sports world with top athletes was inevitable. He added, “I’ve always been passionate about women’s sports and admire the Aces’ players, staff, and the WNBA for their efforts to advance the sport and inspire future athletes. Being able to contribute to that mission as a member of the Aces is a tremendous honor.”
