Triple H Allegedly Determines the Fate of WWE Tag Titles

While The Usos currently reign as the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, the idea of them holding a unified set of titles may soon be a thing of the past. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reveals that Triple H is planning to reinstate two distinct tag team titles for WWE’s men’s division.

The initial concept was to unify the “WWE SmackDown” and “WWE Raw” Tag Team Championships into one set. However, Triple H has recently chosen to separate them again, allowing The Usos to retain one set of titles even if they lose the other. This change is aimed at making it more feasible for The Usos to drop one set of titles during their matches.

The Usos first unified the “Raw” and “SmackDown” tag titles on May 20, 2022, by defeating RK-Bro in a “Winner Take All” match on “SmackDown.” They have held the “SmackDown” Championship since July 18, 2021, following their victory over Dominik and Rey Mysterio at Money In The Bank.

Their reign is the longest in WWE Tag Team Championship history. Alongside their “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns, The Usos have helped solidify The Bloodline as a major faction in WWE, with remarkable victories over teams like The New Day, The Street Profits, and Hit Row. They are now set to challenge The Judgment Day for the “Raw” Tag Team Titles.

The bout between The Judgment Day and The Usos for the RAW Tag Team Titles is scheduled for this Monday at the RAW 30th Anniversary show, RAW Is XXX.
