LIV Golf has secured a multi-year television partnership with The CW Network, marking its inaugural major US broadcast deal. This agreement encompasses all 14 events scheduled for LIV Golf’s 2023 season, showcasing an important advancement for the league that initially launched in 2022 with coverage via its own YouTube channel and website.
Under this new deal, LIV Golf’s tournaments will be aired on The CW Network during the weekend, covering Saturday and Sunday matches. Friday’s play will be available solely through the CW app.
Unlike the PGA Tour’s traditional 72-hole, four-day format, LIV Golf’s events are set up as 54-hole tournaments completed over three days. Greg Norman, LIV Golf’s CEO, underscored the importance of this partnership, pointing out The CW’s extensive reach into over 120 million US households.
He emphasized that this deal not only expands the league’s exposure but also highlights its swift progression within its first full season. Dennis Miller, president of The CW Network, expressed excitement about the alliance, suggesting it will bring LIV Golf to a broader audience and enhance its international recognition. The CW will retain the same on-air team from LIV Golf’s first season, including Arlo White, David Feherty, and Jerry Foltz.
