Aaron Rodgers Receives Guidance from Peter King on Jets Transition

In New Jersey, there’s a company named “Two Men and a Truck.” Imagine Aaron Rodgers calling them for a move to Florham Park, but instead, Packers CEO Mark Murphy and quarterback Jordan Love show up with a U-Haul.

This is, of course, just a humorous thought. Nonetheless, the Packers would eagerly help Rodgers pack up. The Packers are putting in every effort to push Rodgers towards finalizing a deal with the Jets.

It’s a strong nudge, akin to the Eagles’ quarterback sneak formation. NBC’s Peter King, likened to a determined lineman, is pushing Rodgers toward the goal line. In his Monday column, King mentioned:

“Memo to Aaron Rodgers: Take the Jets’ offer for the next two years. Your journey has been full of adventures (and some eccentricities). Imagine going down in history as the best Jets player since Joe Namath. That’s a fantastic way to end a stellar career.”

Despite the impending NFL free agency, Rodgers told fans to “Stay tuned, stay tuned.” He made this statement to former Jets receiver Brandon Marshall at the RX Flag Football Charity event in Laguna Beach, Calif., in a video posted early Sunday.

“How long do we have to wait?” Marshall queried. “Well, I think it won’t be long,” Rodgers responded. “There’s a time limit for all of this.”

Rodgers seemed to be hinting at the start of NFL free agency. The negotiation window opens at noon on Monday, with free agents officially signing with new teams starting Wednesday, which marks the beginning of the new league year.
