Since January, “Superstar” Billy Graham has been grappling with serious health challenges, and his wife Valerie Coleman has been sharing updates on his condition via his Facebook page.
This week, Coleman provided a candid update while apologizing for the delay in communication, explaining that her own battle with Covid had made it difficult to keep up.
She wrote:
“I apologize for the delay in providing updates. The combination of my concern for my husband and my ongoing recovery from Covid has made this week incredibly demanding.”
Coleman detailed Graham’s current status:
“He remains hospitalized and has undergone dialysis sessions on both Monday and Wednesday, which he has tolerated well. There’s been a minor improvement in his kidney function.
However, he continues to struggle with lung congestion and heart issues. The doctors have indicated that the infection in his head is the most severe and challenging to treat. Additionally, he has unfortunately lost all hearing in both ears once more.”
Coleman emphasized the ongoing need for prayers, placing her trust in divine intervention. She stated:
“We continue to need prayers, and I trust in God’s power, believing that with Him, anything is possible. I am deeply grateful for all your support.”
She also mentioned that Graham’s insurance no longer fully covers his hospital costs, requiring them to pay $200 daily out of pocket. Coleman noted that there is no clear timeline for when Graham might be able to return home, describing him as extremely fatigued but resolutely determined to recover, handling his situation one day at a time.
