Dave Meltzer reports that Major League Wrestling has issued a cease and desist letter to WWE. The conflict arose after WWE contacted several MLW wrestlers for appearances on the Raw 30th anniversary episode that aired this past Monday.
Meltzer stated,
“While it was expected that members of the Anoa’i and Fatu families would participate in the planned family acknowledgment segment, which eventually fell through, MLW sources indicated that Court Bauer had instructed the talent to have WWE contact him directly.
Bauer did not prohibit their appearance but required WWE to go through him first. WWE did not follow this procedure, leading to the cancellation of the segment. WWE has yet to comment on the cease and desist letter or the associated claim.”
