Hyundai Motor Group (the Group) has launched its 2023 first-half ZER01NE Accelerator program, an open innovation platform designed to foster collaboration between startups and various teams within the Group on a diverse array of projects. This program aims to identify promising startups and explore strategic applications of their innovative technologies.

Startups are invited to apply to one of 18 global projects developed by the Group’s internal teams, which are organized under six key themes: Autotech, mobility service, smart factory, robotics, metaverse, and protect. Each startup may apply to a specific project that aligns with its expertise and goals.

The Group’s teams responsible for executing these projects will play a direct role in reviewing and recruiting startup applicants. Only incorporated startups are eligible to apply and can submit their applications on the official website from February 17 to March 12. The results of the selection process will be announced in April.

Selected startups will receive a project development budget, providing essential resources to bring their innovative ideas to fruition. Additionally, these startups may be evaluated for potential equity investments, offering further financial support and integration opportunities within the Group.

Since its inception in 2018, the ZER01NE Accelerator has facilitated collaboration between 150 teams from 11 affiliates and 140 startups on 107 projects. This initiative has not only fostered innovation but also resulted in 74 startups securing equity investments from the Group.

The ZER01NE Accelerator program underscores Hyundai Motor Group’s commitment to nurturing a vibrant ecosystem of innovation, leveraging the creativity and technological advancements of startups to drive future growth and transformation across the automotive and mobility sectors.

With the 2023 first-half ZER01NE Accelerator program, Hyundai Motor Group continues to pave the way for groundbreaking advancements and strategic partnerships, reinforcing its position as a leader in innovation and forward-thinking solutions in the global market.
