Changes are coming to WWE WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood due to staff reductions. This adjustment follows Vince McMahon’s return to the role of Chairman of the Board in January, as he explores the possibility of selling the company.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE aims to enhance the profitability of the event while McMahon assesses a potential sale. Meltzer detailed, “There will be cutbacks to the show, but these will not be noticeable to fans.
Fewer staff members will be involved, and some foreign language announcers will work remotely, a practice increasingly adopted by sports teams and networks. The goal is to boost the show’s profit margin as WWE prepares for a possible sale.”
WWE WrestleMania 39 is scheduled for April 1 and 2, 2023, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA, and will be broadcast on Peacock.
