The spotlight was on Mercedes Mone at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17, marking her debut with the promotion. During the second bout of the main card, IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI successfully defended her title against Tam Nakano.

Mone aggressively attacked KAIRI and declared her intent to leave the IWGP Women’s Champion financially devastated when they meet for the title.

The upcoming match between KAIRI and Mone has been scheduled for NJPW Battle in the Valley on February 18 in San Jose, California. NJPW Global later confirmed Mone’s arrival with a tweet.
