Arctic Trucks Joins Forces With Nissan For Groundbreaking Pole-To-Pole Expedition

The Nissan Ariya AT39, a trailblazing electric vehicle crafted by the preeminent extreme vehicle experts at Arctic Trucks, is preparing for an extraordinary 17,000-mile expedition from the Magnetic North Pole all the way to the South Pole.

British adventurers Chris and Julie Ramsey will undertake this epic ten-month adventure, which kicks off on March 23, 2023, and will take them through 14 countries.

Arctic Trucks’ dedication to exploring new frontiers (Arctic Trucks)

As the inaugural EV from Arctic Trucks, the Ariya AT39 exemplifies the cutting-edge of electric vehicle engineering.

This vehicle has been meticulously re-engineered to blend the advanced performance features of Nissan’s electric vehicle technology with enhancements tailored for the most extreme driving conditions.

Among its advanced features are BFGoodrich KO2 All-Terrain tires, reinforced underbody protection by Arctic Trucks, and a range of Arctic Trucks-designed hitches.

Outstanding features of the Nissan Ariya AT39 include:

Advanced Arctic Trucks Re-engineering: This process transforms the standard Ariya into a high-mobility platform suitable for extreme polar conditions.

BFGoodrich KO2 All-Terrain Tires: These tires are specially designed to provide superior performance across a variety of challenging terrains.
Arctic Trucks Strengthened Underbody Armor: This feature offers increased durability and protection against harsh environmental factors.

Specialized Arctic Trucks Hitches: These hitches are crafted to support the demands of polar expeditions and harsh terrains.

Arctic Trucks will play a pivotal role in the expedition, offering crucial support in terms of route planning, logistical coordination, and expert consultation.

This project is not just a high-stakes adventure but also a huge opportunity to test the capabilities of electric vehicles in extreme polar environments.

The data collected from this expedition will be instrumental in shaping future vehicle designs and technologies for severe conditions.

Arctic Trucks has been a leader in the field of extreme vehicle engineering for over two decades, with a robust global presence that now includes a new base in Dubai, UAE—marking their first entry into the Asian market.

The company’s commitment to innovation and excellence is reflected in their continuous efforts to push the boundaries of what 4×4 vehicles can achieve.

The journey of the Ariya AT39 will not only demonstrate the potential of electric vehicles in the harshest of climates but will also contribute valuable insights for the development of future vehicles designed for the extremes.

This venture represents Arctic Trucks’ dedication to exploring new frontiers in automotive engineering and supporting the advancement of EV technology.
