WWE Legend Recovering in General Care After ‘Massive Stroke’

Jerry “The King” Lawler has left the ICU.

The 73-year-old WWE Hall of Famer experienced a stroke on Monday at his Florida residence and subsequently had surgery.

Lawler previously experienced a near-fatal heart attack in 2012 while broadcasting WWE Raw live (WWE)

According to TMZ Sports, a representative for Lawler confirmed that he has been discharged from the ICU and will continue his recovery with outpatient rehab at home.

TMZ Sports reported on Wednesday that Lawler is anticipated to make a full recovery.

Lawler previously suffered a near-fatal heart attack during a live WWE Raw broadcast in 2012. He also had a stroke in 2018. As noted by Wrestling Observer, Lawler last wrestled in January and appeared in 10 matches throughout 2022. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.

An update was shared by his friend Jim Ross via Twitter on Tuesday night.
