In the previous episode of NCIS, two thieves enter a house at night, but because of all the noses, while searching the house, the owner spots them. The owner is a well-trained boxer and took down one of the three robbers, but one of the robbers shot at him but fortunately missed the target. Before the owner made any move, both of the remaining robbers fled the house. The next morning police were called up, and when investigating, the owner told the cops that when they broke into the house, the alarm didn’t go off.
After Jimmy conducted a postmortem of the robber, apart from the break of the thief’s neck, there was not anything suspicious. The cops find out that all three before the robbery rented a motel. So to acquire further details, cops invited the motel owner for further information about the robbers. He told the cops that one of the robbers spoke Russian and one of them was funny. After acquiring more information, they found out that the two robbers headed to berlin, where the director and Alden are staying for the meeting with Lena.
As soon as the team notifies Alden, he becomes more altered and checks Lena’s room which is on the same floor as theirs. After entering, they found out she had been shot and was severely wounded. After she was admitted to the hospital, they both went to her room to find clues about the attempted murders. On searching for the clues, the director saw that the blood was going toward a drawer instead of the phone; when searching the drawer, they found a book in which a few bible verses were handwritten by Lena. For further investigation, they send it to Kassie.
She told them the verses include numbers which, when connected, turns out to be an account number under Elisabeth Wenders. Kassie gave Alden an address, and they went there. There they met Leon Lena’s sister. She told them the people who hurt Lena were not after Lena but instead her daughter Heidi. So to keep both Heidi and Leon safe, they arranged a safe house near them.
When they went to the safe house there, they confronted Agent Biedermann, who was already in front of the safe house. So to talk to her, Alden gets off the car and talks to her. While they were talking, she made the mistake of mentioning the girl. Because they never told her about the girl, Alden got suspicious and shot her.
After the gunshot, many terrorists surrounded the vehicle and started shooting the car. So they went inside the safe house, where they met Sergei, the main terrorist. They managed to catch him and were able to save the girl.
