Digimon ghost game is a fall 2021 animé that started on October 3rd, 2021. The term Digimon basically means Digital monsters. It is a Japanese media franchise that mainly encompasses virtual pets. It also has animé, manga, and even video games! This franchise was created in 1997 as a male counterpart of the already existing feminine virtual pets media franchise called Tamagotchi.
The first-ever creatures that were made for Digimon were adorable and iconic and were loved by all. These were Followed by harder-edged style creatures, which were inspired by the American cartoon industry. Several animé series, movies, and video games have been released so far. The latest animé, called Digimon ghost Game, was released on October 3rd, 2022.
Most of the Digimon animé have a similar storyline which starts with a human being coming in contact with a Digimon. This happens when a Digimon comes to the human world accidentally or when a human gets transferred to the digital world by mistake.
Digimon Are Not The Same As Pokémon
Well, Digimon is more focused on younger fans; just like Pokémon, it’s different from Pokémon in many different aspects. First off, these two are owned by two different companies. While Pokémon is more about catching a Pokémon and then training it to fight the Pokémons of a gym leader, Digimon focuses on greater goals which can include saving the world by a human and Digimon duo.
The number of upgrades for a Digimon is only 7 in Digimon. But for Pokémon, it’s three. While human beings cannot be turned into Pokémon, there are definitely a few human beings who have turned into Digimon.
Pokémon never really had a save-the-world type of storyline because Pokémon is not a threat to society. On the other hand, often, there are Digimon that is a huge threat to society, and the world must be protected from them. While Pokémon only speak their name in the name of speech except for Meowth, almost all of the Digimon are capable of understanding and speaking human languages. Digimon can also fuse together, but Pokémon cannot.
Plot Of Digimon Ghost Game
The story starts with showing a glimpse of a near future where the use of holograms has been taken to a whole new level. We get to see different types of advertisements using holograms that look too real to be a hologram. On social networking platforms, we get to see a new rumor getting spread among the people that a new kind of ghost called the hologram ghost has appeared in their world.
Our protagonist is a middle school boy called Hiro Amanokawa from the Hazakura Academy. He has a special device that was left by his father for him called Digivice-V. The Digivice helps in making the unknown invisible Digimons visible to his naked eyes.
Hiro’s life took a special turn the day he met Gammamon. Gammamon is a really notorious Digimon who was entrusted to Hiro by his father. Since he met this Digimon, he has been surrounded by strange phenomena, which include a weird mummy wandering around who kidnaps human beings and a man with a sewn mouth who steals time from human beings. The story then proceeds to show us a whole new different world of which no one is aware. Along with his friends and Gammamon, Hiro dives into a new adventure.
Characters
Hiro Amanokawa
He is a 13 years old middle school boy who is the protagonist of our show. He’s voiced by Mutsuhito Tamura. Hiro is an inquisitive and relatable character. Not to mention he’s also the most reliable character.
Gammamon
Gammamon is a mischievous white Ceratopsian Digimon with small wings on its back. It has multiple champion-level forms. But one of its forms is corrupted and is known as GulusGammamon. The character of Gammamon is voiced by Mayuri Sawashiro.
Ruli Tsukiyono
She is voiced by Yū Kobayashi. She’s a social butterfly who loves to have a lot of friends. She also plays piano. Angoramon loves listening to her play the piano. Ruli is an outgoing person who struggles to stick to one hobby as she gets bored pretty easily.
Angoramon
It’s a large rabbit-like Digimon who is Ruli’s partner. Angoramon is voiced by Kazuya Nakai. Angoramon is one of the most peace-loving characters in the series.
Kiyoshirō Ishida
He is a prodigy. A genius who has graduated middle school from an American school. Currently, he’s in the same school as Hiro. He’s really scared of ghosts but loves to talk in a condescending manner. He has been voiced by Akira Ishida.
Jellymon
Jellymon is voiced by Yū Shimamura. It’s a mollusk Digimon. She’s also Kiyoshirō’s partner.
Episode 46 Recap
Episode 46 starts with Kota, Hiro’s creepy friend, trying to sneak peek at the girls at the pool party. But he then gets kicked by something from the ceiling. Following this, Kota was attacked by multiple vines. Kota keeps seeing these plants almost everywhere. But Hiro cannot see them. Soon Hiro realizes that this could be a work of a Digimon.
They all start to investigate, and Kota is lured by a Digimon who has transformed himself into a pretty lady. The lady makes Kota shave his hair and remove his clothes as the Digimon is going to eat him. Angoramon recognizes this Digimon as Oleamon. An insectivorous plant digimon. He then proceeds to make fun of her cooking which makes Oleamon angrier.
Ruli then uses deodorant to fight because she realizes that this Digimon doesn’t like the smell, and Gammamon causes an explosion. Oleamon, later on, explains that she wanted to eat human beings once a human-made fun of her cooking. This human was none other than Hiro’s dad.
